Skate.
Encouraging people to learn, grow and develop their skateboarding abilities through professional coaching, while providing a safe, positive space to explore faith.
Who we are
Undeserved Skate Co. is a skate project aimed at helping individuals learn, grow, and develop their skateboarding abilities through 1-2-1 coaching and small group sessions in Jersey.
As a Christian ministry, we seek to create a safe and encouraging space for skateboarders to explore faith through discovery projects, bible studies, and skatepark events.
We act as positive role models promoting a healthy lifestyle. We operate as a project within the ministry of St. Paul’s Church, Jersey, headed up by Joel Banks, Assistant Minister at St. Paul’s.
What we do
Our Two Strategies
Undeserved Skate School:
A fully insured and qualified skate school creating opportunities to try skateboarding and build proficiency through regular 1-2-1 sessions, school events, and holiday camps.
Outreach Project:
Consistent and authentic outreach onto skateparks, building a community of skaters who explore faith together through regular and one-off events in and around the skatepark.
Coaching Tiers
Our coaching utilises three “animal” tiers: Squirrel, Crow and Hammerhead to track progression and celebrate growth, recognising that skateboarding progression isn’t always linear.
Outreach & Community Events
-
Monthly Bible groups combined with skate sessions during term time (such as Saturday lunchtimes).
-
Special events running during school term breaks and summer sessions at the skatepark.
-
Sponsoring broader skate events in Jersey alongside a contemporary, competitive merch line to grow the brand across the island.
